What was it I was seeking?
A former me…perhaps too vividly
Snow melts and so erases where once has been
Or good shall be much better in the purchase of pretend

Should there be less expectation?
Less deep sensation in a moment’s know, of could like snow
Or candy on the tongue if but a taste to tempt the waters flow
Some kind of transformation that may leave in death a former so

What was it I was hoping?
A sturdy self, so cast like stone and banned from gentle handling
Leaving heaps of what love cannot face upon me to be waste
Or yet I see that what was meant to be was simply of my taste

A trinket in the market place…a sense of time inside the trace
That shutters close so simply viewed…and never touched in gratitude
Or grace…that teardrops stream the face of gone and truth buys certain fortitude

Yet love is food

Never give away the gift you have been given,
that you might always be able to share and
show to others a part of you that releases
what graces these pages...

I can't believe the wisdom that was captured here and written down so eloquently.  This demands several more readings-may I drop this one into the library?    Wonderfully written!  This one hit home.

Couldn't have ended it better ... really enjoyed it all, but the end put the exclamation point to it.

well done,

Just went to the library and checked out this one.  Thought I'd send it back up again.  I enjoyed reading it again.
