Dark Angel Dream

It is the last full day
Of my Australia tour.
Today they take me to visit
The Australian centre for deaf-blind children.
We drive, listening to the car radio.
The radio stations sound like ours …
News and traffic,
Weather and sports …
Gossip and games.
We arrive at the center for deaf-blind children.
And then Dark Angel comes.
It seems she has arranged the visit.
I wonder how I will communicate with them.
I suppose they don’t use ASL.
Then a boy comes up,
Talks to me in perfect Spanish.
I think: What? …
Spanish … in Australia?
I decide to impress another boy
By telling him I’m from the USA.
He says: Fooey.
He says: We read about you in our studies.
I’m resigned, I guess,
That not everybody likes us.
I wanted to ride a kangaroo,
Maybe feel some duckbill platipi,
More mysterious Auzie things,
But it is time to go …

Sleep,
And let some of that unconscious stuff
Come bubbling to the surface.
Let the archetypal inspiratrix speak.
You never know what she will show you next.
Revere and love and honor her,
For she is the endless wellspring
Of your creativity;
She is the everlasting fountain
Of your dreams.

Jaime

It is not often I am taken unexpectedly in a direction I did not choose.  Thank you for this.

Jamie, I loved this... wanted it to go on and on and I would never have stopped reading if it had never ended...as is . . . the read may have stopped but I'm carried by the . . . momentum...

Absolutely wonderful write.

Jaime~
You transport the reader to a realm we could not have reached without your word-map~

How lovely ... creatively originality ... such talent you possess ... thank you for sharing~
