I felt a deep connection
Within the shortest time
As we talked about our lives
And our great love of rhyme

I opened up my heart
And I let you come inside
With my feelings all laid out
I had nothing left to hide

Some people come into our lives
They're like a breath of fresh air
They bring words of inspiration
Which show how much they care

'tho miles may separate us
Words keep us close at heart
You have really made a difference
With the words that you impart

We share a special bond
Through our love of poetry
You've opened up my eyes
And enabled me to see

* * *

"For memory has painted
this perfect day
with colors that never fade,
and we find at the end of a perfect day
the soul of a friend we've made"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Ohhh Sue, you shouldn't have, really...

What?

It wasn't for me?

Oh...

Well I still love it,
as I do all of your poems Sue!

Just do me one small favor?
Don't ever stop writing...
I don't think the world
could handle the loss...

I know we couldn't
