the scent of flying,

young one learns the truth of wind.

(smiles) God Bless You, dearest friend, this reminded me so much of my Cherokee knowledge I hold dear given to me from my ancestors, sweet friend, how kinship is a central part of our doctrines, which we call family "Tiospaye", and it is an extended family that is more universal that goes beyond blood relatives, but includes the thunder, the stones, the animals, so much more, and that we hold obligations true for each individual holding several roles in society, including a mother (Ina) and father (Ate) providing for the children! (smiles) Yay, may the children learn to fly by listening to dear heart, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Wonderful, just wonderful. Loved it so much.

Hugs and Smiles, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.

kind of like water off a duck's back?

The freshness in this appeals to every sense!
Spectacular write, Jo.  Are you sure we're sisters?

HOW COULD i have MISSED this gem?  Are you saving hard copies of these Jo?  You must organize these into a notebook with plastic protective sheets.  You need to have a set for each person in your immediate family and,well...one for me, too?

Nicely done.  I like the way you portray it as a scent, a feel in the air.

Nice feeling here that you have captured, Jo...So much can be said , so many feelings evoked in so few words.

OK, now you've done it, m'friend, inspired me. LOL, I used to write Tankas a few years ago. Guess its time to dust off the old quill and try one again.
I enjoyed this very much.
