Does It?

Be careful of your critical words.
A tender heart you may crush.
A gentle soul filled with shyness.
Lost confidence from years
of
belittling words and actions.
What does self-righteousness in your eyes gain?
Does it give you power?
Does it fill you with pride?
Does it make you feel superior?
Does it fill a need to hurt, to annihilate?
Does it hide your own insecurity?
Do you not realize that knowledge coming from an
acid tongue
or
from a scratching pen will not be heard,
but will be ignored.
But knowledge spoken or penned in humility will be
remembered until the ends of time.
The world is harsh;
love for your fellowman has cooled.
Be careful my friend,
for a power higher than you once said,
“You reap what you sow.”
Be careful of your critical words my friend.
Take note before you speak and destroy the more
humble one.
For your time will come and you may be left in the
burning rumble of your own hatred.
So children, tread softly, remember His words.
“You reap what you sow.”

(big angel hugs) Oh Bonnie, it saddens me so much to see our world filled with too much more hatred compared to fifty years ago, seems all they ever talk about in the government and news is "weapons of mass destruction" and terrorism now! (sad sigh) When will we learn as a worldwide family to love again and teach innocence, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bonnie, thank you for sharing!
