Waiting winters passing:
Patiently the lily buds lay
Sleeping in their tuber-beds;
'longside in slumber
Tulip-lips (in bulbs), await
Kisses, warm and wet to wake
Them when the prince of  spring
Come making; calling signs of courtier.
(Like poets that sit in dark
And wait, day-break;
Their muse to meet as suitor.)
*
Not a solid sound , be sure, vibrates;
Silent is the light of magic stars
Dripping from a wizards wand,
Falling spells, cast from invisible
Realms of metaphysical
Over beds, of sleeping florets;
Rising words that hide inside
Dark-forests of the human mind,
Are field released into the sun
By Merlin's dancing faes, who
Un-tie ropes that choke and bind,
Fertile words bound in the poets mind
*
Spell chant...
Breathe deep in shower or sun
Cloud shade dark or sunset,
Night or morning ; cupped hands call
soft flowers, from their bind of shells
And raze the prisons, holding words;
Release the  cargo ships of prose,
Tied up at mental moorings.
*
Desire is key to help the spell release,
The hidden urge to break the earths crust,
Helps to please the eye, with  what
Was hidden in the seed;
Of words held deep in minds of human
Beings..Why this need? I ask, from where,
For what, are we compelled the same
To bring some beauty hidden deep in-dark
And hark them into light, forever to remain?
(Like flowers)
Be they perfect...be they maimed?

This came to mind of me yesterday. I live in a cold part of the USA and their is snow on the ground today, cold winds and ice. ......
But in the middle of all this cold as I walked around the yard are two little noses of the daffodil trying to peek out and say hello.
Each year I find this amazing and beautiful.
Good poem.

(does happy dance) Awwwwwwwww, this poem made my heart smile, sweet friend, I just know all the baby daffodils and orchids are just waiting to bloom so much saying, "Mommy, mommy, can I go out to play now, pretty please?" and the bulbs say, "Just a little bit longer, dear, until then, dream of the honeybees and butterflies!"! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is precious, I'm saving this in my angel library, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This is incredible...this is a treasure for me to find.
When you write of Merlin or the fae..I am awestruck.
Your imagery is wonderful..
A keeper for my library.
Hugs~

Grover
Thank you for the high grade...

Yes, the daffodils are the hardy sort that challenge winter...They come up early here also, but they seem to never freeze (like one would suspect, when the temp goes down to ten..)
Thanks for the reply

The first to show yellow here in northern Pa. is the colts foot...I can't wait to see them prancing up wet hill sides...Thanks for the nice comment..

Merlin and faes have always intrigued me, I fit both into poems whenever it calls for their presense..They are the ones that tell me what image should come from the words in poesm such as this...Thank you for reading and your nice comments...
