In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-02-18 05:40 PM

So I make you painted scenes
in still waters   yet
each night finds me searching
for color

would you understand?
each stone is fragile
each   with a place

The sound of wind undresses
trees   naked    open
these same trees that bare fruit
when winter    dies

in a field of stars, I once touched
your palms
felt love stronger then sky

“leave the memories of dragon-flies in flight”
let beauty sleep in morning
resting softly in dusk

take what you will
before the next song comes along

and I fade
a tiny dancer in your arms

   I will re-arrange the flowers    later --

Your name a trace of light   upon my lips

Then will you    understand   your  depth--&
my inability to stand still for you to see
that which I am

a piece          of fallen silk
invisible to    dawn

~~**~~
There are moments when speech
is but a mouth pressed lightly and
humbly against the angel's hands.

*sigh*

and your poetry...a trace of healing on my heart.

Well I cant say what I might believe ...
but if God made you ... he's in love with me.

such a lovely poem...but I think my favorite part (and there were many) is:

"The sound of wind undresses
trees   naked    open
these same tress that bare fruit
when winter    dies"

there are so many levels...so many layers...so many connotations...it will take some time to digest this delicate write...thank you for sharing

(big angel hugs) Awwwwwwww, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, may all the flowers and lilypads soon fill the waters and the dragonfly nestle softly on the most softest flower, yay, God Bless You, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lauren, do "you understand your depth" as a poetess and how you nurture the poetic souls of your readers? Yours is a rare talent. You truly add to this sea of blue with your graceful writing.

Warm hugs & smiles,
Linda
