Toss a cookie
to the caterpillars

let them eat cake

can we expect to heal the world
on day old bread?

stop eating meat
war will cease

don't you see this too?

i'm a bucket pouring paint
diluting dreams
watered-down
mid-aged clown

a full moon scattering her light below

catch me from this throne
they're siphoning my glow

paradox, convulution
weaver of webs
knitting confusion

pollyanna visions sink like bricks
upon a dream's conclusion

i'd never recognize my face
if the miror weren't shattered
afterall.

Dear Michelle, you have a “light warrior spirit” I can tell and this poem captures the "cry" and it is great.

Dang I liked this one Michelle!

Has anyone ever told you,
you have a real talent?

I’m sure they have

After I read this and looked back
at the title, I just had to laugh...
in a good way...

This was just too great!

Thanks!

so much said here, and much thought within the pauses between the lines

you're an awesome lady, true to yourself, sharing with the world

You should think of publishing

Oh yeah!!!!

"i'd never recognize my face
if the miror weren't shattered
afterall."

Mirror fragments
reflecting the so many "me's"
in between angles and angels...
wholeness's illusion shattered
fullness facing this way and that.

Oh yes, Michele, keep at it....
whole or in pieces .... a beauty  ~P

"pollyanna visions sink like bricks

yeah boy! Liked this a whole bunch.  If I stopped eating meat so war would end, I'm afraid it'd only end because there'd be so many animals around there'd be no where to fight!

You're a wonder with words, my friend...

loved it all...

I remember that screaming lady. She sat next to me one fine day. Gotta love the A train, fond memories of it all the way from Rockaway to the big apple
