Years

When time as time must always, claims its due
Away the years like so much sand are swept.
When seasons left to love are far too few
And rivers overflow with tears we've wept.
Our love will be our comfort and our guide
And memories will brighten waning days.
While youth, eternal youth, will so abide,
Forever frozen there within our gaze.
Though stars may lose their majesty and fail
Bereft of any need or will to thrive,
Our love will never lessen, dim, or pale,
But ever deepen, flourish, and survive.

So let us face tomorrow free of dread
Rejoicing in the journey just ahead

Very nicely done David. Yes, we all should just enjoy to-day, for it might be all we have. Enjoyed. Chris

This is a big poem in a very small package. I think it should be read several times, in order to get the full effect of the words and the way they are used.

Truly another fine piece. As before its easy to see that you move within your words. Outstanding.

(big angel hugs) Oh David, I couldn't agree with you more, dearest friend, we must embrace tomorrow without the past dominating, like living "yestermorrow" as I like to put it! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet David, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
