It comes over me

unexpected as rain

sweeping over me

subliminally

sprinkling illusions
as the red turns to green

i play scenarios on
the sky's revolving screen

where you finally
succumb to a
silly girl's dream

as we dance down
the aisle, petals
tossed for you and me

and then i retrace
the path of seduction
that lured me,

originally,

to the flight of
the freebird
and the realization
of my dream

it comes over me

and i kiss it tenderly

like a child
unclenches her fist
that held life
in captivity

the butterfly
released to
the glorius green

it comes over me

and i remember
i was blessed
when i held
you once,

so i just
let it be

how beautiful....so soft and delicate and at the same time screaming with emotions. I enjoyed it immensely.

Because of you I laugh a little harder, smile a little more, and cry a little less
