There's a crippled lake
By an old mill stream
And a fat old trout
Filled with bread and theme

There' a lovely gril
By an old mill stream
And a man on a hill
Filled with fish and sitting still

By a lovely brook
Leading to the mill
And a lovely girl
To thrill

There's a lovely lump
By the old mill stream
And it's in my girl
My own to dream

Dave, glad to see the smile in your poem, which was a very nice picture!

Dave, my dad used to sing a song to me with the words like..."by the old mill stream". Thank you for bringing a loving memory to the surface. Youngatheart

Thanks

I suppose the smile is there because it doesn't know where else to go.

Dave
