Up writing late,
On Valentines eve
Typing in monitor light;
But fitting words escape-
Me, disappear into night.
Restless, I search
The closet of my mind;
But all I see
Are wrinkled clothes,
And none that fit well
Enough to explain
Exactly how I feel...
(Wishing I were ee, for real)
*
"I do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;
only something in me understands the voice of your eyes
is deeper than all roses."
*
Perhaps I should try
To write a poem
Of passion-heat,
That still ignites
My body, easily
Still burns,
When I touch you;
After all these years?
But instead, I am stealing
A piece of a poesy,
(Penned by Neruda;
(He's better at telling)
What I still love to do.
*
"Kiss by kiss I move across your small infinity,
your borders, your rivers, your tiny villages,
and the genital fire transformed into delight
runs through the narrow pathways of the blood
until it plunges down, like a dark carnation,
until it is and is no more than a flash in the night."
*
Count the present
As Eden, do not
Think wrinkles,
Turn away my eyes;
I do not see your
Perfection
As gone,
Have no fear..
What I mean
Is better said
By the prince of bards;
In Shakespeare's,
One, thirty, one.
*
"Thou art as tyrannous, so as thou art,
As those whose beauties proudly make them cruel;
For well thou know'st to my dear doting heart
Thou art the fairest and most precious jewel."
*
Poets past, their true
Words flow through me,
Some of rhyme
And some of free verse-
too...Tired, I sit
With hopes these stolen words
Will say how much I love you.
*
end

Beautifully expressed and assembled! And in the end it's your voice that the One will hear.
Happy Valentine!
Love, Margherita

I give you a big smile my friend.
This is beautiful.
Between you and Kevin I'm smiling today
before heading out the door for the 8 hour gig
called w.o.r.k.

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, who could resist the beautiful words of Pablo Neruda, dearest friend, and besides most of this poem was YOU, your straight-forward, honest declarations of love, yay! (big angel hugs) You are a true romantic, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Your poem stands on its own merit...believe me. And, I see love written all over it.

I am standing small among these giants, yet to stand at all is an accomplishment of sorts.
