Excitement surges
And dullest day brightens
With mere sight of your name.
Anticipation is richly rewarded
As treasures tumble forth
To treat discerning eyes
With words well worth the wait!

I cannot guess the destination
When I walk into your world
I only know I join your journey
At every opportunity
For you exceed
All expectations of excellence
Every time, every poem.

Inhaling the flawless flow
Of gem gifts from your pen,
I savor the expansion
Of awareness and imagination,
Let your descriptions transport me
As your experiences
Become my own.

I am hopelessly addicted
But I cannot seek a cure,
Only wait for my next fix.
Have mercy upon me and
Feed this hunger
With your incredible words.
I will read.

For one of PIP's best... who posts all too seldom. *S*

NHCIESANN...as in Now How I Earn Such A Nice Note.

You can start a fine mystery game with a tribute like this.  Well done!!  Ken

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

suthern,
You've expressed so well the feelings I have when I read the poetry of so many talented people here.  When I think I've seen the best, then something is posted that is even better.  Everyone keeps growing better!

I know the feelings, when some of our best
are gone for awhile.  When they return?

Each of us has at least one PIP person whose work resonates particularly with our spirit. I know there are some for me, and yes one of them doesn't post very often at all. I wonder if they're the same person?

I think too, that there are people who affect the whole group that way. You're one of those, though you don't know it.

Ruth, whoever this person is may not even know it.
I hope that you sent this to them, though. I'm sure
it would be very appreciated. It's beautiful.

Wow you can just feel the electricity coming from this poem!

Suthern, this was so sincere and sweet. I hope whoever this lucky
dog is... lol that he figures it out, or better yet, you let him know.

Wow! It seems like Valentine’s Day or something around here!

What?

It’s tomorrow!

Yikes!

Hey Toe... where’d you say that Wal-Mart was...?

That’s the thing about Toe... he’s always there,
when you don’t, need him...

Wonderful Poem Suthern!

I hope everything works out really groovy!

What?

They don’t say that any more either?

Yeeesh!

Oh... and Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!

He may be here, Suthern Belle
Answering your ad.
Writing words you love so well,
Though they rhyme real bad.

Wooing you with simple words
Front a dime store unlined pad.
Then dashing off to parts unheard
Before he can be had.

Stealing time-worn lines,
Plagiarizing like a cad,
As your heartstrings pine,
Making you feel so sad.

Who is this of whom you write?
Where is this scalawag?
A rascal stealing in at night,
To share your sleeping bag?

Where is this secret poet
Who makes you feel so glad?
Why does he make you show it,
When you're feeling sad?

I have not a single clue!
Though he sounds like a stag.
I hope this devil respects you,
More than a toe rag.

Ahh yes...I was just talking about this the other day...how certain poets work effects on a deeper level....when I read them I get what I call "poetic tingles" ....

NO-- NOT THOSE KIND OF TINGLES!!!
get it out of the gutter.. lol

Some names do light up todays topics and for those who dont post as often as we wish...thank goodness for the archives and me mothy library.
Theres a whole lotta tingling in there

A gracious and sincere tribute to fave poets from one of our faves.

Well I cant say what I might believe ...
but if God made you ... he's in love with me.
