She’s the nearly imperceptible breath
in a whispered confession- the first
light of each new day
the ache that grows
with evening shadows and the
hope that follows them to sleep

She’s the fleeting sweetness of a
snowflake kiss-the joy found
in the chasing
the intimacy of walking
alone in summer rain- the
restoration gathered along the way

She’s a song never written
a poem still waiting
to be understood
the colour love gives spring to
summon brightness from winter’s gray-
the scent of life rising from the earth

She’s the sound of a train in
the distance softly saying
goodbye-goodbye until it’s
just the moon and I-  She is
gone and we are waiting for dreams
to fill the measure of the night

Jamsey, really I wish you'd write more often or post more often m'friend, I miss reading you.

I have a lil suggestion though, hope you don't mind.
I've read a few times.. once as it is, the second time without "she is" in the first 3 stanzas.
I feel it's too repetitious and  takes away from the poem and it seemed to flow better without. But...that of course is just my opinion.

Wondermous as always m'friend

Mee Mee heh.

Thanks to each of you- Taking time to let someone know you were there is important and not always possible- I'm glad you took the time.

Mmy- I have it 4 different ways- one of which is as you suggested, and is actually how I was going to post it. Thanks dear.
