Pirate

Ah, you breached uncharted waters,
transgressed my Port of Heart,
stole me in the night sea mist,
took me floating in the dark.

Left me lying on the beach
sun's salty heat to dry me blind.
Now here am I, this empty shell.
You took it all, but never mind.

You should have forced me to the plank,
off the edge to bounty's floor.
Instead, you leave me only silence. . .
tides of silence
(so loud the roar).

You should have buried me at sea
wrapped in Truth's tranquility.
At least my mind would have been free.

Pirate, you're a mystery.

Come back again.

Ravish me.

Ah, shiver me timbers mate!   Darn, now you
have me talking like that and brushing
parrot poop off me shoulder.  EYE!

Oh I enjoyed this, nice flow and rhyme.
Wish I could do that.

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.

Iliana, OUTSTANDING TERRIFIC SUPER MARVELOUS!
What a perfect expression of how you feel.

Ah, you breached uncharted waters,
transgressed my Port of Heart,
stole me in the night sea mist,
took me floating in the dark.

Left me lying on the beach
sun's salty heat to dry me blind.
Now here am I, this empty shell.

Been there!!!!!!!!!!! but don't we go back for more???? We sometimes have no pride when it comes to the pirates of the heart.

Iliana, m'dear...did you have to whisper the name Pirate so loudly?  Now you have LJA to contend with.  Walk the timbers steadily, girl...

You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

Noah, you totally got the feel of this one -- yes, higher and dryer than ever in my life, this one.  (That was a long time ago, Noah -- I'm not on the beach anymore, thank God.)

iliana,
I can't believe I have not posted against this-I've read it several times and thought I had!  I'm trying to think whether or not I've been on that pirate ship before-perhaps, but the pirates really weren't cruel there.  Some even shared of their treasure.

As ever, I love your writing.  Take care.

Well, what could I say that everyone else hasn't said for me in their replys?
I agree with them all, excellent poem here.
I love this to pieces! Going in my library.
