Dear God,

yes, it is me again
I know
I keep bothering you
but lately I just don’t
seem to be able to
accept my disappointments
and you think
I am strong when
I am so very weak
and it is not that
I don’t trust you
I just wonder
if anyone is listening
when I am speaking
I keep reaching out
but far so short of the edge
a finger tip’s distance
maybe it is
my own fault in
needing so much
more to believe in
but my soles are still
burning from fires
that I walked through
with my eyes wide open
and then to walk backwards
in steps taken blindly
in wanting my own way
to regain my balance with
skinned knees and elbows
and I try so hard
to understand heal to toe
and if it’s not
too much to ask you
could you please
get back to me
for I need your help

Hi 1slick lady. Mmm this is very good. Let me know if the big guy answers...I have a few questions I need answered if he's got the time.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Helen, I think you'll hear something soon.  Sometimes, it comes in unusual ways and I feel compeled to say that you already know that.   hugs, jo

Helen, I think that you’re anything but weak.
And it’s never anyone’s fault to want to feel reassured.

My thoughts are with you, that you prayers are
answered soon...

This was so very touching Helen
I hope your okay?

Hugs,
Richy

h,
A lonesome poem, well put.
But yesterday's losses did not take everything . . . far from it.
Many [[[hugs]]] for you Helen.

reminds me of that line from the gospels "Lord, I believe, help thou mine unbelief"...there is something to be said for the fact that true faith must always contain a measure of doubt or there is no faith involved...just keep believing (and asking)...even if you doubt

great write

Openly and truly heart felt Slick... wrote a piece similar years ago when my brother's girlfriend shot herself in the middle of the night...

Seeking Eternity

Hello,
is anyone there . . .
anyone at all?
I’ve said all the things
they say should be said,
closed my eyes,
scratched my knees
from all the places I’ve knelt . . .
but, hello,
is anyone there . . .
can anyone hear my prayer,
my shouts, my cries, moans,
silent plea’s . . .

Hello, God . . .
I think maybe you’ve died,
gone on a trip,
got your head somewhere else,
or never were . . . anyway,
because you sure as heck don’t hear me,
have chosen not to hear me,
or just don’t care
like they say you do.

Tomorrow though,  I think
you’re gonna know me,
see me, hear me . . .
because I’ll be standing before you
yelling as loud as I can,
asking why the hell am I there . . .
when you could have stopped me,
just by saying .  .  .  ‘hello’-

Hello,
is anyone there . . .
anyone at all,
anyone . . .
at all.
