Once so alive,
now all is still and quiet
and only memories will I have.

The memories of... Tuesday night skating,
toboggan rides,passing notes in Sunday
school.
Telling jokes,sharing laughs
as well as long talks.
We always had a lot of fun you and I.

Sunday you went home to Heaven above.

I'm going to miss you my friend.

A lot can be said for brevity,
Except when it comes to life.
What we need to see in others
Are very long poems
Like Poes Raven, that goes on and on
And not some shortened verse
That seems to end before its time.

I am glad you wrote this, it will help with healing.
