Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-02-09 11:36 PM

Hiding, Again

It plays feint elusive,
for it was just there, moments ago,
the “thought” of the century,
a truth so

profound

that we thought to lace it
in gold
and tie it to our hearts…

she and I.

When it was brought up,
there, in our little gathering, I said,

Yes!  That’s it!

and my friend nodded, such that
I’m afraid the nod
bid thought
a fond adieu…

for it is hiding, again…

I only wish
profound
would come
when we call.

For it needs to be shared.

Oh I know this. Sometimes I get ideas that zip so fast through my mind I barely understand what it was and then they are gone. This is such a frustrating thing to have happen. Love the way you penned it Sunshine.

Oh this happens to me so often Karilea.
A senior moment I think 'they' say I'm having.
Excellent write.
Hugs~

don't you just hate moments like these? You expressed it wonderfully Karilea.

Hi Sunshine!

Oh, I just hate it when my attempts at profundity evaporate and I turn the air blue with profanity.

LOL

Yes, that's happened more than once lately -- and it would be nice if we could snap our figures and it would come back!

Somewhere in the land of Muse
go those thoughts we do not use.
Maybe I'll find one I choose
lost by you, the poet's dues.

You can run
you can try to hide
but good  old Death
will ALWAYS FIND YOU

I am a child

I loved your thought and recognition.
Really --

Thanks for putting it that way -- an easy flow of the whole thing.

God said "fear me"
rules say "obey me"
hearts say "protect me"
minds ask "what's a dictum?"
It's no wonder we are all insane
