When a Rose is still a Rose

I wish youth today
could understand that the beautiful rose of today,
in the full, wonderful splendor of bloom,
will slowly whither, wrinkle, become old,
but not diminished by age.

It's still a rose,
and should be accepted as such –
if love and years can't go hand in hand,
I don't believe it was ever there.
Love, thought it may age,
is not diminished by time,
it alone abides when all else has passed.

I liked your analogy, that the rose abides, nevertheless~

Well done, jwesley~

(big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too hope the children of tomorrow can know that the essence of true love lives forever and age cannot erase or change that! (sigh) This is so beautifully sensitive, sweet friend, yay, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jimmy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
