It’s my last Sunday in Denver
and noise from the city streets
are no more than a pesky fly
buzzing ‘round my head.
One wave of the hand
and the pest disappears.
Nothing can cloud my day,
not even the weather forecast,
for all I choose to see is a Ray of Sunshine,
and all I choose to feel is a breath of fresh air
as it fills me with anticipation.

This is my last Sunday in Denver.
The nearby mountains are beautiful.
Snow capped, but no longer inviting
to these eyes that feel trapped behind them,
unable to gaze at an ocean sunset,
too far away from the sounds of
screeching eagles flying overhead,
from seeing orcas, moose, salmon
and yes, even the bears.
It’s back to the wild life for me.
City wildlife disturbs and frightens me,
leaving me wringing my hands in frustration
as legal choppers fly overhead,
pursuing miscreant prey at cheetah speeds.

Goodbye Denver.
I will remember the Rockies,
the many good book stores,
fine dining establishments.
But after smelling the nearby stockyards yesterday
upon the early afternoon breeze,
I will always remember you
as just another cow town
that constantly made me sneeze
from city triggered allergies.

(smiles) Oh Kacy, I hope you had a wonderful time in Denver, sweet friend, yeah, it is a dry little spot in the nation that is crazy about their Broncos and stock shows, but it is one of the better cities I've seen in this nation (I've been to many states) with Boulder being an even bigger favorite of mine! (sigh) May your next adventures are filled with blessings of their own, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

LOL, Arnold needn't worry though CA was my original home state. Look for the midnitesun a bit further north, Lori.

I thought I read a while ago that you were moving back to California.  No?

I'm clueless, in case you hadn't noticed.
Anywhooo, best wishes where ever you go.
You'll be missed in the meantime...Hugs Kacy~

I'm envious and understand both the need to occasionally get lost in a crowd and get as far away into nature as possible. Yes, envious.
