Four Seasons on Canvas (a Series of Haiku)

Spring sprays budding forth
beckoning blue bird return
to nest in delight.

* * *

Summer shine finds home
grass-green meadows overgrown –
shades find creeking swing.

* * *

Amber backdrop paint –
golden, brown, orange and red –
tweed, season’s fashion.

* * *

Winter sky now grey,
migration, birds flown away.
Clouds shed frozen tears.

Seasons’ paintings change
color brilliant or mundane.
We are the pallet.

(does happy Vivaldi dance) Yay! Oh Jo, I love all the seasons but spring is my absolute favorite because it is the happiest season with everything blooming and coming to life, sweet friend, Mr. Bluebird's babies hatching, the honeybees buzzing, the sun coming out to play with the children, yay, these haikus are so gorgeous, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Problem with haiku
is that it is addictive.
Don't you find it so?

Nice job!  Ken

iliana,
    This is beautiful.   I'm glad you chose to use the wording meadows over-grown.  It works well.  Have a good evening.

Very beautiful haikus, dear Jo. I love this form of poetry too. A challenge to say much in only a few words. You succeeded masterfully.

Happy Valentine's day!
