Especially for you

Each moment spent in haunting solitude,
Reveals a lasting love of no neglect.
If loneliness may not be misconstrued,
No man may ever question its effect.
Lest anyone mistake a sullen heart,
Or wonder at the loss of joyous glee,
Until the present emptiness departs,
I'll pine the loss of loving endlessly.
So patiently I'll wait to own her all,
Enduring ebon nights and empty arms,
Despite what circumstance may yet befall,
Assuring this, the comfort of her charms.

Let perseverance be my daily guide,
Yet will a love so strong be not denied.
