I sit in total quite
And listen to the noises
Of the outside world

It is like the crickets
Are singing
To me from their hearts

It is a melody
That I can not stop
Listening to

A melody that brings peace
And slowly makes me
Drift off to sleep

Cold hands means a warm heart

So many things can soothe the body, mind, and spirit, healing I could definitely use. Wish I had some crickets around here.

What is life without poetry and adventure?

These sounds are so familiar to me although I haven't heard them in years. Those crickets harping away outside my window, and hearing the bullfrogs croaking in the distance. Thanks for the lovely memory!
