Turn the Page

When the story you are reading
Is the life that you are leading
And you find you're constant pleading
For a peace that is receding

When the answers are misleading
And it seems there's no succeeding
Simply know you are misreading

Turn the page

When it seems there is no meaning
And the tears are intervening
If it's towards the dark you're leaning

Turn the page

When the winds of change are blowing
And you're left alone in knowing
That the love's no longer showing

Turn the page

When it's peace your heart is seeking
Yet you constant hear the shrieking
Of the inner voices speaking

Turn the page

When the final chapter's pending
And there's no more use pretending
That there's wisdom in defending
What your heart is comprehending

Take the road that is ascending
Grant your spirit peaceful mending
Dip the quill and write the ending

Wow Vicky, that's the quickest five
pages I've read in a long time...

Well, whether it's a new chapter, or
a whole new book entirely, I wish you
all the best...

The library life, is filled with new
adventures, comedies, and mysteries...

Good Gosh, I'm corny...lol

This was wonderful Vicky!

I'm glad I got to read it this time!

Turn the page - begin a new chapter... remembering, of course, that each chapter builds upon the previous one - They're all a part of the whole story...

Good poem, m'friend...

I remember this one--and still love it,

the quick meter works wonderfully with this theme as it lends a manic feel to the read which enhances the overwhelming emotion for the need to change, with the almost mantra like answer of advice/admonition of "Turn the page"

love this one, and love you, Lady V!

Sue...yes...we all need to turn the pages of
our lives at some point...lest we end up
reading the same chapter over and over, and
never really learn what our full story is to be...
Thank you for reading, my friend...*smile*

iliana...thanks so much...glad you enjoyed.

Richy...thank you, my friend...
I'm glad you got to read too...*smile*

Nan...yes...chapter upon chapter...
Thank you...for adding friendship to this one...

nn...thank you

Michelle...thank you, my friend...
I appreciate you reading, and glad you enjoyed...

Grover...glad you enjoyed...thank you.

Karen...yanno?...I always smile when I see your
name on one of my posts...thank you...for you...
Love you too, my sister...

2writeis2be...thank you...I'm glad you enjoyed...
I am, however, a bit confused as to the perceived
misspellings... Perhaps you could point them out to me?  Thanks...

Thanks again, everyone...

I read this a couple days ago and had to go look it up again.

It's such a grand poem, each word, each verse, each chapter.

There's always another page, another book!

Love it!
