Jealousy is sometimes cruel
sometimes it is silly
Needing to think before acting
and not act upon instincts merely

Most times when this monster appears
showing its big green-eyes
The reason causing it
is not usually where truth lies

At times it creeps into a romance
other times, at a place where someone works
Even shows its face in Church
this green-eyed monster lurks

Insecurities most often are
the reason for this mainly
For causing someone to get jealous
and at times making them act insanely

Has been known to cause much violence
if not controlled and put in its place
In all walks of life
jealousy has shown its face

Most everyone has felt it
at sometime or another
If it is allowed to continue
others feelings can be smothered

a very good intention, and something we should all take heed to...jealousy is an anger and very low self esteem...just like angry words.  A very good write, as are all of yours.

(big angel hugs) Jealousy truly is a monster, sweet friend, for the least courageous and heartstrong it can ruin one completely! (sad sigh) I only wish everyone can be happy with everyone else and wish them great blessings, God Bless You, you speak of this sad truth so well, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You are a wise lady dear Ethel and I love your reflections on jealousy. If only we could avoid any contact with that monster!

Love and hugs. Margherita

Jealousy is indeed a dragon to slay...
not to be confused with hurt feelings though.

There is a fine line in between, I guess it's how we play the cards we've been dealt.

Liked the message your sending here Ethel~

Great write, Ethel...succinct, yet artful...jealousy never "looked" so good!
Thank you!
