I see you from afar, my heart speaks such words I blush
But I stare and dream and wait in hope, with fate and time
How complex this heart and the strings which perform to love
How sad the moments we don’t touch or let our feelings ignite

………………………………………

A moment of touch granted this memory, yet feeling of regret
As life passes on and then onward to where honour and duty does lead
Paths crossed, but guilt and emotion led back to home and safety
But such a moment, such a moment, though basically innocent, still shines within

And you are still my valentine

Rick my friend, how in the bejeezus have you been? I hope everything's fine.

Absolutely wonderful poem here, as always.

Dear Rick, this is wonderfully written and touches some chords in my own heart.
