Moved from a shack to a barn

On one of those rare sleepless nights
I decided to employ the time tested device
Of inventorying sheep
To summon sleep

I found them easily enough
Waiting in the wings of consciousness
Ever ready to form a “Ziegfield” line
And dance their way across my eyelids

As I counted
I was given to wonder
If this was the same flock
Once tended by Moses

If perhaps
They had passed from this plane
To become Ovine Angels

And if they had ever
Left their hoofprints
In the sleepless minds
Of Descartes or Degas

Ed!

Ya know?..I read this elsewhere, and I loved it...
and I still love it now...smile

You have such a way with words,
and I have sooooo missed reading you here...

Hi there!!  Good to see you again.  I've got my 2 year old granddaughter on my lap...and when she saw your face she said, "who's that?"  I said, Wranx...and then when I clicked to reply here, she said, "bye bye, Wranx".  You made a friend without even knowing it.

I have a question about sheep counting...can two people count the same sheep at the same time?

Very cool where you went with this thought Ed.  It's better than I can say to read you again.  Drop in more often huh?

Hey baby,

this is everything right here:

And if they had ever
Left their hoofprints
In the sleepless minds
Of Descartes or Degas

because it left me with the thought
of time, eternal . . .

I guess, that depends on if you see them as a comic strip or not

(smiles) You walk in a truly highly-esteemed flock of sheep, that we can say, yay! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, we are all siblings of one another so may we all trek down the trail together, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ed, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

And if they could tell me their stories... so at least the sleeplessness would be enjoyed? *S*

I like this very much, wranx... and it's great to see you again... you were missed!
