Planting Seeds

What motivation fuels the need?
What driving force of hurtful deed?
Why such refusal to concede?
What satisfaction when they bleed?

What of forgiveness?...why not so?
Is not compassion apropos?
Where understanding once was grown
now seeds of discontent are sown

Still underneath the barren ground
lie remnants of a spirit bound
now dormant in the chill's surround
yet holding hope of 'soon be found'

May warmth of love's replenishing
Renew the flow of Passions' Spring
