There once was a maiden tall, stately, and fair
who wandered in thought simply any old where
but understand this, she lived, slept, and dreamt,
and couldn’t decide which one she preferred.

In life there are mountains, trees, rivers, and you,
in sleep there is peace and contentment and you,
in dreams there are rainbows, winged angels and you
and now can you see how disturbed she must be.

She chose life today but days too must end
and sleep, the result, forced her to dream
and I tell you this that maiden once fair
couldn’t discover the truth from the other
or find for herself where to be without you.

There once was a maiden but life isn’t fair
and that’s why she wanders simply any old where!

a smile and a sigh. i'm sure many have been here before.

nice write with a mix of solemn whimsy (my oxy-moron for the day) and subtly-restrained loss.

Thanks to all for reading.  Maybe loss is our gain - who can really know.

Hi, Bluesy, Martie & Iliana.  Thanks so much for reading my little ditty.  I have to just tell it like it is every now and again - for my sanity, you understand.

(big angel hugs) Loss can teach us so much, so the wisdomn can be a gain, and the thought and faith of knowing our loved ones spirit always guide us, immortal! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
