***
first part is a story, then the poem
***

An average sunny day, I spot a child in the middle of the road playing with dough. Then a car drove by, straight towards the child. I rushed out with immense speed, knocking the child aside, then I became the victim. If I had a dog, I'd say "Sick 'em!" only I am part dead. My vision slowly darkens, then Death partially covers me with his cloak. I heard screaming from houses nearby, to the screeching of a car, to the red raindrops dripping upon the ground. I slowly take in breaths, then I heard sirens, then the cruel laughter of Death.

And now the poem begins.

Death enters my soul,
Death I cannot control.
He enters very fast,
I witness flashing visions of my past.
Unbearable pain,
No longer sane.
I fall to the ground,
My head feels less then a pound.
I spot the driver who took out his gun,
And now the damage was done.
He drives away,
Night now merging to day.
Foggy thoughts in my head,
I give in and now I am dead.

I awake in another world,
Where imagination becomes reality,
And flower petals rain throughout eternity.
Comes a land where you walk on water,
And the trees are much greener.
Where peace inhabits the land,
And all evil are forever banned.
Where the good people come to meet,
And all the others will feel defeat.
Where enlightenment is forever true,
And where there are a lot more friends to make too.
I wake up and realize that it's not what it seems,
Because this was all a dream.

Chinadude89,
Incredible write!  It's late and I need to think about closing down, but I must come back and read this again tomorrow.  I hope others have time to respond soon--this is so good they won't want to miss it.

(big angel hugs) Oh my gosh, I went through a whole array of emotions reading this, sweet friend, tears, fear, and then a smile at the end for having read this wonderfully deep poem and story, yay! (sigh) This reminded me of "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" by Mitch Albol, sweet friend, if you haven't read it yet I strongly recommend it to you, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Phil, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

What an experience -- maybe it wasn't a dream -- who knows what reality really is?  BY THE WAY, WELCOME TO PASSIONS!
