How hard it is to find the time to write...

After a full day at work,
I plea for work to leave my mind.
It's self-indulgence that I want,
Free entertainment on the spot!
No dirty dishes calling for the suds,
No abled bodies requesting clean duds!

I will hire me a maid,
     I'll hire her today!
     Won't worry about the money
Or how on earth she'll get paid.

From the floor she'll collect the socks,
She'll grab the broom and wet the mops,
Part the cobwebs from the dust
And stack the bills, what a must!

The billls, oh, what a mess!
If only I had an accountant
I'd be sincerely blessed.

I'll hire an accountant,
I'll hire her today;
One who's really confident
And one who won't betray.

    So, I hired them today
    Giving me time to describe
    How a little imagination
Can be helpful in a bribe.

(The maid's now gone, the accountant here.)

She wore brown wool pants,
Displayed a pencil behind her ear;
Her sleeves rolled up as if to put
Elbow grease behind a pen.

She flipped her suspenders then,
On my bills, she began-
and worked until the end.

The chores soon were all finished,
I was no longer tired out,
But rather, "hired out" for bribe.

I hired me today I did-
    It worked like a gem.
    I'll hire me next week,
    I'll hire me again.

Oh! For Hire???? I have dust bunnies, dishes, laundry, snow in the driveway, bills to pay. I hear the bell on the front door. Oh! Heck! I'm to pooped to answer the door.
Guess you can't come today. LOL
Good one.

Richy,
You're right on that matter!   Time is to be managed... too bad!  Thanks for your comment.

ilana,
I'm glad you got a laugh, and bet that you can relate!   It was a joke at first, as a way to get motivated into the role...
Dressing the part was really a lot of fun,
making a burdensome job hilarious!  Everybody thinks I'm crazy here, but it did the trick!

NOt out for hire outside my own mess!!!
Glad you got a kick out of it.  Maybe it's a maid at your door--you'd better answer it OR maybe you won the SWEEPSTAKES!  Grab that door fast!

(big angel hugs) Awwwwwww, I'm sorry that you struggle to find the time for leisure that you desire, sweet friend, I believe most of us face that same dilemma and we all just need more time to breathe without exhausting ourselves! (sigh) Your poems are always special to me no matter what, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sadelite, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Funny...so dang funny!

I'm a stay at home mom...for the next few days only...then it's back to the 40 hour work week for me.  I can relate already to these needs described.  Heck, I can't keep it together staying home!

Noah,
I do feel crunched, but luckily I have a very supportive husband who helps around the house more than his share.  I feel very fortunate.

McLean,
Glad you got a chuckle!  Hey, is there truly such a thing as a stay-at-home-mom, with soccer, band, oddesey of the mind, etc.?

Enjoy your next few days.  Then find yourself a pair of suspenders, old specs, a pocket protector, calculator, and a felt hat.
Role playing works wonders to get those odd jobs accomplished and is great for a good laugh!

Oh, incidently, what did you learn about the strange acrostic that I did recently?  Is it considered one or is it manufactured?
