While the silence of new snow mounts upon the lake
My footsteps leave the print of paws, a spirit and a cause
Before my eyes, your smile is softer than the sleepy skies
Where layers upon layers of colors pause their summit rise
For what has brought me here, in time enough to hold you dear
My only self, washed open in the melting of a new moon’s tear
The strength of you, the shy of you, uncovering of morning hue
Where face to face, surrounded in enchantments lace
I look into the stars, setting fires in my soul to blaze
And grow familiar in each curve that molds your touch
As I fall into you
