The Weight of Words

Heavy with anticipation
the wait of words builds a wall,
each day, forming a dungeon like environment
where blindfolded and chained
the thoughts grow the pain
of never knowing.

Comfort is but a breath away,
a window on tomorrow.
Its surge protected by a hazy mind,
whose dreams are dedicated
but untouchable in the shadows.

And so the story goes...
she owns the pierced heart
but watches from the sidelines,
those words not near enough to
fill the heard with a chorus
of Romeo  and Juliet, an affection
tender and deep.

Life is a play and she enters in
a gamble, artfully maneuvering
the faithfulness of one.

M

So many comments on this one. Eloquent, classical, flowing from one word to the next. Everything in balance and the ending was the clincher for me. I could go on and on---I am just taken with this one.

Ethel and Kie, thank you for your comments.

Sometimes I think words can't say what  the body language can...but if it is all one has, well then...

Found a graphic depicting 'the weight of words' and was working on it ... but, will wait for another time to post it~

(big angel hugs) Yay! Oh Maureen, your words hold such a weight to them, a very light weight as graceful as a feather, that shines with the deepest emotion and light! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
