In the very early morning this will be all
               a-noise with blades and blowers
               and business as usual
               down city streets and alleys.
But now, standing in the midst
               of six more arriving,
I will savor the deep quiet
so that I can listen to the flakes
               landing on my shoulders
               and slowly turning me white.
               There are parties aplenty tonight
               organized and orchestrated
to celebrate our cultural noise and violence.
               No thanks, neighbors, just
leave me alone so that I can enjoy this.

smile.

I'll invite you to a hurricane party if I can come to your snow "jam".

Deal?

Sounds heavenly.

Savor those times, indeed!

The rat race can wait just a few seconds more!
