I tell you close to nothing of what I feel, what I go through
Instead I push you aside, and I turn to another
I never once thought of how it made you feel
To see me rely on him
Did it really bother you that much?
I’m sorry for not seeing that all this time
I had been searching for someone to confide in
I did not see that you where right there
With your shoulder ready
With your heart open
I did not see that you too where in pain
Instead I was so engrossed in my own feelings
I paid no attention to yours
That was my mistake
Now my pain has dulled
Yet yours grows steadier still
Now I am on the other end
And feel the way you must have felt
I feel our bond has weakened
And my heart aches at this realization
Somehow I wish things would become right again
I wish our friendship would be strong again
There are things I still wish to tell you
But most important
I’m sorry
