THE STUPOR BOWL

I’m pretty much ashamed
Of the greed and will to give
To make those rich ones richer
And deny all "those" to live.

The money spent this day
Is more than some country’s wealth
What’s spent on our hangovers
Could buy some country’s health.

And, those ads to make us buy
All those things, we do not need
Should insult, our "intelligence" (??)
Instead of feeding, "their" greed.

The wages paid those "athletes" (?)
For "sportsmanlike"(??) activity
Helps buy them all those drugs
That, means "jail" for you and me.

A "super bowl" like Roman times
Is where, we all, are headed for
Where the "lions" eat the people
And, the people ask, for more.

There are no "Sports" for "free"
Where, real "Sportsmen" will go
Because, the rest are all lined up
For, the "bottom line", for their "soul".

(big angel hugs) Oh Abe...THANK YOU thank you for posting this, it makes me happy knowing I am not alone in seeing how overrated and pointless the Super Bowl is! (sad sigh) It's just a different kind of war within stadium walls, and all that money they spend on commericals is sickening, which could have went to feeding Cambodia or controlling floods in Bangladesh, even benefit our own middle class families! God Bless You, sweet friend, you know where I'm not at, on the couch with the remote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Abe, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Your points are valid to you,,,,,but, there are plenty of athletes that are good rolemodels,,,,,and do give back to the fans,,,,,I never was one to judge all, on the actions of a few

I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike
