Was I?  I asked...
as cotton slipped the calf
and cool tile touched the
toe in wrinkle.

The veil of sleep lifting slowly
from my mind as memories brushed
my lids.  Honey  touching my lips as a
left behind taste of passion followed
my tongue.

Could it?
A dream, nothing more as silk drawn
streams of day pierced my sight in
squint and a stifled yawn strained the
clenched muscles of a jaw...Still, the
taste that lingered puzzled and a fragrance
lingered longingly upon the pillow, cooling
from the lifting of sensuality.

I am...
Sitting softly upon the corner of nature’s
lustful field, as a momentary glimpse into
what might have been touched my shoulder.
Turning, reaching....finding nothing.
Were you?   Were you there, as I gave to
you that which my desires felt?  Or...

Were you simply a dream?  Yet again
as stars filled the darkened skies and
a moon slowly arched into dawn’s
rays...

Please, please return, I have not
yet told you goodnight and...

Pleasant Dreams....

Those in between dreams are hard to believe,
but they are certainly warm and worth the sweet gleaming.

Awww, there is such longing in this, Barry.
It is so beautiful, though.

Beautful Barry....
'If you are but a dream, I hope I never wake up'
Sorry...reminded me of a song...from long ago.
Well done.
