When it's so heavy
     the body only
          wants to sleep,
forget, forget or
     weep.

When it's only
     only
          the body that remembers,
the night
     like sponge
          it seeps
               the memory
                    into dark.

Dark warm void
     beyond
          the reach of innocence
               where memories wait for recompense
     homeless floating dreams
          there awaiting birth,
               awaiting mercy,
          and so heavy
the body only wants to sleep
and let the night void keep them.

liked this one a lot...especially the lines:

"there awaiting birth,
               awaiting mercy,"

Wow, all of a sudden,
I have this urge to catch
forty winks...

And I just got up!

iliana, I hope you let this void only
keep the lousy ones...

Keep all the best ones, for yourself, ok?

I enjoyed this!
Thank You

Glad to see you back, iliana.   Hard night sleeping?  Gee, I understand that!!!  Loved your well expressed poem, title, and format.
It all fit together like a glove.

"night void keep them"...

I could use some of that during the dark hours.

Interesting idea here.
