We had a bond they couldn't break We know because they tried We possessed something they couldn't take We had a friendship based on pride We smoked our 1st cigarette we bought from Windy We drank our 1st beer we did consume We stole our 1st joint from my aunt Cindy We shared our 1st real boyfriend We took on the world with no regret We thought we could handle in all We never lost a bet We even hung out at the mall We grew apart somewhere along the way We have not even talk in almost a year I wish you were here to stay I really have but one a great fear Have we really lost each other or this can we mend Will we find another to call our Best Friend |

Welcome to Passions Sounds like you and your best friend went thru the mill, lol, but, time can make people drift apart, cicumstance, etc Ringo is my best frirnd, you'll see his work and comments here at PIP, we haven't bought smokes, or shared a joint, or boyfriend(cringes at the thought as I laugh hard) but, we do share alot, that starts in the heart Michelle I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike |

Welcome to Passions, Sweet Steph... Tough topic you introduce here. As we grow and try to guide our own off-spring in the right directions, it is often hard to explain the comings and goings of friendships. That one, I haven't figured out. I do know if a friend is truly a friend, no amount of time can cause "un-knowing". Just my opinion. Again, Welcome! McLean |
