Eyes looking forward and determined
Standing at attention shoulder to shoulder
Knowing I am about to give this life of mine
With each passing minute it gets cold
The orders are given out by the Commander
The platoons make their formation
We know no matter what we have to conquer
The sound of soldiers feet in repetition
The sound of enemy fleets not yet in sight
In an instant the shrapnel starts
This is not yet a war, it is only a fight
The military minds no doubt think this as an art
Re-inforcements have come in
The list of casualties is heavy
We are thankful of the help that has come from Berlin
I look around and see my dead mate Lt. Allely
Years have past with an announcement that the end is near
I finally realize all that I abhore
I can't wait to leave here
Now this is not a fight anymore this is a war

(big angel hugs) Oh, dearest friend, I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through all that horror and terror of war, dearest friend, war should never happen and obviously many have yet to learn from history, especially our corrupt politicians, it's saddening, this is a most powerful debut!
