We wait...

Yet nothing seems to
change.

Moments pass in lost
awareness.

And love slips unrecognized through
the cracks of our delusions.

Still we wait.

Until these moments pass us
by.

And there's nothing left to
wait for.

Sensed pain in this rain of thought to poetry...
Life is for living...reaching for stars and catching visions, all shared in the breadth of a dream.

Hi Martie...thank you so much for your kind words!

Yes...it is true of human nature.
We often wait for what is always present...not seeing what is true and real before us.

And yet...as humans we have the ability to awaken to the moment and embrace the ultimate reality of our nature. This is enlightenment...to love fully through what is present in every moment.

To wait...for any reason...to love, is to wait falsely and in fear.

We only have this moment.

(Hahaha...sorry for the soap box!)

Love,
Eric

Oh that does it!  I needed this wake up call more than I realized.  Thank you Ericc, your writing is about as pure and as beautiful as it gets.  I also liked reading you on your soap box!!

To wait...for any reason...to love, is to wait falsely and in fear.

Ok, I'm trying not to cry,  suffice to say I enjoyed reading this very much.

Personally I like to hear the soap box, and I could feel so much sadness inside your words.....you are great for allowing the reader to feel the poets heart!

Dear Eric, this is so profound and so wonderfully said.

At times my dreams
cast me far ahead
into the future,
at times I dwell
in  memories of the past,
but then true divine love
knocks at my heart's door
calling me back into
this present moment
and I know
I lack nothing
when I share
God's breath
expanding in His light.

I love you. Margherita

I have been in a similiar situation. I can recall the "wait". So this really touched me and hit home. It was phenomenal to read.

some sort of sad irony here...
Guess sometimes it isn't waiting that we need to do...
rather, to take patient action.
This is great
