In the City of the Super Bowl

Growls come from the sky
Cigar-shaped advertisements
Blimps are visiting

Company’s coming –
The motto for this city
Strangers share a smile

My team stays at home
Their promise “wait till next year!”
But “years” are so long

Chilly winter blast
It’s warmer than New England
Still too cold for me

Tickets for the game
Bear prices that would pay rent!
I will watch from home

Freeway parking lots
Folks hurrying to nowhere
Welcome to Houston!

I've seen Houston's traffic.  If my friends come and snatch me up and take me there, terrific...but otherwise, I'll curl up with my chili and crackers and watch a good movie!  LOL...

Sounds like a wild and crazy time.
I think I'll just watch the commercials from the couch.
Cute write suthern!

Ticket price spwnt on an at home tail gate style party is a great idea, when the home team isn't your own. (bemoaning the eagles fate, once again)

Suthern beloved one, Oh how wonderful is your talent oh lady of the magic pen, Senyrus, darling one, Senyrus? Good grief darling one as if I didn’t inadequate enough, you have to write these beauties, I forgive you, but only on a quid pro quo basis (Latin yet), now didn’t I tell you my education, though woefully wasted on me was a quality one? Admittedly my Latin runs out after a few prayers and Dulce et decorum est pro patris mori, and that’s only because we studied Wilfred Owen.

As for these they are truly wonderful and I love them utterly and shall sit here gnashing my teeth in envy because I know I have such trouble writing them

And yes I love it utterly
Love you always
and forever

(sigh) I can't stand football; it's war in spandex, so I'm not going to watch it, but your poetry is so amusing here, yay! God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Suthern, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Yes! Every one a direct hit! Perhaps we will watch that game together, a couple thousand miles apart....we definitely have the same view from where we sit now.
