Harp Polisher
By: Noah Eaton
1/25/04

Up at the chancel, 6 A.M,
a cappella rapports echoing from the nave,
four-voice motets falsetting in polyphony,
negligee daughters dreaming of the Candyman,
Josquin sibilating through velvet organs,
glissandos of circadian serenades,
Ave Maria...virgo serena

My ribs feel sturdy like flying buttresses,
my mind painted manganese purplish-red and chartreuse ribbons
"Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees,
and looks to that alone, laughs at impossibilities."
Harp polisher
Harp polisher...

You came to lead the blind,
I purposely stared through the silver oxide,
so I could see blue and yellow,
and you leaned on my right shoulder,
your anodyne cotton soft tongue,
whispering in my ear,
"Faith is being sure of hope,
and certain of what we don't see."

My ribs feel sturdy like flying buttresses,
my mind painted manganese purplish-red and chartreuse ribbons
"Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees,
and looks to that alone, laughs at impossibilities."
Harp polisher
Harp polisher...

"Faith is being sure of hope,
and certain of what we don't see."
But today I see I can squeeze,
without trying to breathe,
play me the sanctity of dreams,
I will let gravity put me at ease,
I will trance into this lethargy,
Harp polisher,
harp polisher,
harp polisher,
harp polisher,
harp polisher...

"You'll find something that's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20

I will remember these words for days and days to come.

Your poetry has such a fine polish, thank you Noah~

Hey Noah, have you noticed when we leave replies for each other it doesn't bump up to the top?

What's up with that???
