Through Sleep Deprivation

I was attempting to sleep
Nothing much I could do
As the snoring got louder
He emitted a grunt or two

I had poked and prodded
Giving a jab to his chest
The silence I was longing
For a peaceful nights rest

Watching hours tick away
Beside a whistling drone
Amidst the many sounds
Be it trumpet or trombone

Again I tossed and turned
As I try to keep my poise
Sandman abandoned me
Maybe he fears the noise

Through sleep deprivation
My humour was required
I began to write this poem
Still it was sleep I desired

Oh yeah Hope, that sleep apnea is a real booger... no pun intended... ;- )

So many people have it these days. We used to just think that someone had a bad snoring habit. Now we know it's some kind of sleeping/breathing affliction.

And to think of all the times I took an elbow to the ribs, for a honest to goodness medical condition...

Sheeesh... lol

Well, I wish you all the best.
Maybe some good ear muffs will help in the meantime?

Take Care Hope,
Richy
