The Sigh

It shutters me this breath of sigh
This uttered sound of lonely why
Coerced within a velvet pillow
Dispersed beneath a weeping willow

It is a mist that shades the clear
It is the sweep before the tear
It is the wallow in the green
Where echoes haunt a lover’s scene

It is the heavy of a levy
The topsy-turvy of the bevy
Smothering a wail of pain
Subdued to set the web of seine

And though it titillates the role
It is the weeping of a soul
The sadness of a censured sigh
The holding back of tears of cry

It is clairvoyant in the woe.
It is the sear of letting go

Loved those two lines...

...Letting out a big 'sigh.' A wonderful read this snowy morning.

Thank you dear man.
Huggles, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.

Such a gentle flow to this Seymour...

And some real nice thoughts too.
And all about a little old sigh...

That is so cool!
I liked it!

Thanks for this.

Take Care,
Richy

GAWD! How do you do it every day? I'm amazed!

Love this one especially, because of the bittersweet quality...the last lines (as always) are the icing on the cake
