My life was created because you loved, Your life was sacrificed for mine, So many things you could have become or done... but instead, you chose to become my parents, You gave me love when love could not be bought, you are unselfish with whatever you have got, A kiss goodnight, "I Love You" was always said, a bedtime story was always read, Love to tuck me in at night before I went to sleep, love to say a prayer...for my soul to keep, Arms to hold me whenever I scraped my knee, Words of wisdom to teach me to count beyond number three, Birthdays and cakes, Christmas and toys, making sure my life was filled with all the greatest joys! Cooking and cleaning, hot food to eat, a warm bed, my heart was always full and my stomache always fed, Painting my nails, fixing my hair, Everything was done with love and care, You took me to church to learn to love Jesus, to love one another...just as he teaches us, You stood your ground when you said no! It was for my best, at the time, I didn't know, You corrected me when i did things wrong, taught me how to love my sister, to be strong, Hope and kindness, love and affection, guidance and care with loving protection, Love beyond meausre, a timeless treasure, no money can compare, to the world of riches I have found within the love you share, Love to depend on whenever no one else was there, love to come home to, when life doesn't seem fair, Love that gives freely, unconditionally without wanting in return, Love that taught me lessons in life that I didn't have to earn, All these years you have been there for me, I know I am not famous or anything the world would call great, But I have love, was loved and loving me as your daughter, was the greatest gift this world has to offer, For without your love...I could not love or know how, That is why your love is returning back to you now! I owe alot to the love you have been giving, love that has made my life worth living, When I think of you and all the time, love and care you have shown me, I see a gemstone being polished, shinning bright in the light, reflecting your love to the world, through me, I my be just a jewel from your gemstone of love, but I can shine bright, For the love in my heart you have put there, glows and glistens for the whole world to see, How your love carried me and formed me into the person I have turned out to be.... Your love is the gemstone of my heart, never to depart, forever shining ever so brightly. This is the treasure I will pass on to all the little jewels from the gemstone of my own family someday.... All of my love.... Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH |

Nice I've lost both of mine One was amazing since I should have been in Singapore still but arrive 2 days early and saw my father the night before he died On the way to my mother's funeral my car broke down, but if you have ever arrived after flying for 20 hours in th e60's to stand on a doorstep and be told your father has cancer, I have never forgotten it. Take it easy if you can. regards Dave |

What a beautiful tribute to some wonderful parents, sounds like a great family. I was blessed with the same, which makes me appreciate this even more. I'm certain of one thing, that your parents have very much to be proud of when it comes to you... truly wonderful again. Brian Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach...
