Peace?

Safety in arms,
Fear in silence,
Anger in calm,
Peace through violence.
Nothing now the way it seems,
Until, by greater power,
It can be deemed,
We’re safe,
Although we’ll never be,
Delighted by constant legend,
A word,
‘Free,’
Is it something we can hope to see?
Peace?
Doubtless to say, alas, no,
We’re not safe,
Contrary to belief,
We’re alone,
Each to his self,
In death,
We have our only solstice.

Succinct and cynical.  I like it.  It's a grand ideal trapped in the mind and heart...

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

(sigh) This speaks some dark truths, dearest friend, I happen to think it can be a three-way street and can work if only everyone engages for peace, then we can all leave purgatory dead but lively! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Luke, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
