Upon the veranda I sit quietly
In the hours just past dawn
I find peace amongst the quiet
It is the best part of the morn

I am enveloped in tranquility
As I gaze out towards the sea
I am at one with my thoughts
Here my spirit feels so free

I find so much inspiration
Which encourages me to write
I take photographs at sunset
As the day turns into night

As the light of day is fading
And I look out across the sea
I allow thoughts of my father
To come sailing home to me

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

That is a touching write Sue. A soul on the sea in deliverance of a hearts island. As always you astound me with your warm writes and serene images.

(big angel hugs) Oh Sue, your wonderful poems for your father never fail to make me cry, sweet friend, your love for your father is so deep and infinite just as I know his love was for you and you truly have pieces of his heart and smile! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, he will always love you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nice writing...sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a line or two...and I have to write it down before I can go back to sleep...James

Sue
This is such a nice poem...love it.....:-)
Often I think of my father, at sunset....like just last night, I saw him at dusk in the dieing light..he was in a red cardinal suit, sitting in a plumtree...sorry if I seem delusional, but he still is that vivid in my memory.
Thank you for this beautiful poem

Hi Sue ... love your new picture!

Bright and early morn is my favorite time of the day also. Most of the world is still sleeping and it's a good time to think, to pray and to write.

I enjoyed this so much.
Hugs to you my friend, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.
