Crisp, cool evening
The cricket orchestra
Plays on in the background
While the sun sinks and melts into
The sculpted sky.
The birds of yester-light
Sing the last song of the day
The trees sigh with relief,
Relax,
And flop about in the
Dying Breeze.
The daylight utopia
Gives way to the darkness
Lets him take charge
While she rests.
Animals of sorts
Creep out and investigate the night,
Bask in the growing darkness
And greet the night with
A cheerful disposition.
