In Memory Of
Frances Rodeheaver
March 7,1919 to Feburary 24, 2003

I remember all the good times with grandmother
Going to visit her
In New Wilmington, Pennsylvania
During the summer and sometimes fall

I would play in the grass
Roll in it
Play with my toys in it
Build little fake nests in it

At night we would try
To catch some fireflies
Put them in a jar
And watch them light up
Until they died
The next morning

I remember
The rabbits in her back yard
And always around
Was the smell of dead skunk
Phew!!!!!!!!

I loved looking at
All of her hundreds of dolls
She loved to collect
Of the years

I remember one time
Sleeping on a cot
Out on her enclosed porch
And listening
To all the night noises
Until I fell asleep

***************************

I inherited her Strawberry Shortcake Dolls
In her will
I guess she knew
I loved those
The best

She passed away tonight
But I just want to remember
The good times
Before she got sick
And died

So I sit here
At my computer weeping
As I write
All the good times
I had with her
But at least I know one thing
She is suffering no more
And is forever at peace

Cold hands means a warm heart

We all know that feeling. The best thing to do is remember the good times and keep them alive in your heart.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!
